This is a must for all those people a little nervous about the stability of these kind of stoves. It makes a huge difference and gave me so much confidence on my first try.

This stand is lightweight, sturdy and just the job for supporting the canister and kettle/pan when out and about in the countryside. No more worries about tipping over and losing the tea/bacon! Folds down to very small indeed. A must for outdoor people.

35g is well-worth the weight for the stability this device gives to SOME gas cylinders. But it is far from "Universal". The great disappointment is that it is unable to deliver any stability to the small 175g resealable camping gas cylnders which are taller than they are wide. They simply are to small to fit, yet this is where I was hoping to gain something really helpful from this device. As an alpine climber and lightweight backpacker for the last 30 years, I don't want to carry excess weight in the form of a larger than needed gas cylinder, so was looking forward to this device working with both formats of EN417 cylinder. It simply needs a third ring of teeth nearer the middle, and a modification to the sprung-loaded catch. I shall still take it with me and use it with great effect on lowland bivi trips, but that's as far as it'll go. I was able to determine the flaw whilst still in the store, but still felt it was a purchase worth having. Consider carefully the cylinder type you prefer to use use before buying, that's all I'm advising.

Don't boil up a brew without one! An essential bit of kit for canister stoves. Well made and easy to use. So light, small and cheap there is no excuse not to get one!

It looks stable and the next thing you know its tipped over - as the food /water comes to the boil the movement inside the pot causes the pot to slide almost un-noticeable then over it goes - a great pot stand that improves the stove stability 100% if you don't get anything else get this

Universal Canister Stand? Gas Stove Safety Stand is a better title. Clipped to the bottom of a gas canister, this handy and lightweight unit provides a wide base on which a stove/pan combination will be far more stable than if the narrow gas canister alone is the base support. Anyone who ever had their gas stove topple over (and saw their precious dinner dumped in the dirt - or burnt themselves trying to save it), will recognise this gadget as worth every penny. It's simple, it's reliable and it works exactly as you need it to. 10/10 MSR. Get one and never waste a meal again!
